Tania Valentine Reh DGPh
I became seriously involved in photography 33 years ago and since 1981 I have worked as a freelance photographer for a number of daily newspapers and publishing houses. My work has included documenting election campaigns and portraying writers and graphic artists for book covers. My first solo exhibition – landscape photography – was in 1980 and was held in the Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich. This was followed by a number of solo and joint exhibitions in Berlin. |

The increasing popularity of automatic photography pushed me to find something
that was innovative and distinctive as well as a challenge in terms of photographic
technique, quality and effect of the final image: infrared photography.
My extensive experience helped me to cope technically with the surprises of nature
and, in particular, quickly changing photographic conditions. In addition to
shooting landscapes using infrared technique, I am currently concentrating
on architectural photography in modern day Berlin where you can find extraordinary
and attractive perspectives. Highlights and shadows of the city inspire me
time and again to approach the theme ‘Berlin’ from all sorts of different angles
and to capture the results in series of photographs such as "Berlin
by night" and "en détails" which
have been published on the internet (www.artania.de).
Since the end of 2002 I have been working as both a freelance photo journalist and a web designer. Exhibitions and References:
